Whiskey Sour

1. 2 ozBourbon
2. 0.75 ozLemon juice
3. 0.5 ozSimple syrup
4. 1Egg white
5. 2 dashesAngostura bitters

Method

   Combine bourbon, lemon juice, simple syrup, and egg white in a shaker without ice.

   Dry shake for 15 seconds to emulsify the egg white.

   Add ice and shake again until chilled.

   Strain into a rocks glass over fresh ice.

   Garnish with a lemon wheel and a cherry.

Variations

• New York Sour

  Float a thin layer of red wine on top after straining.

• Boston Sour

  Omit the egg white for a lighter texture.
